Designer Nadine Fidelman
Was born in Philadelphia, PA and has lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, San Diego, Malibu and Santa Monica, CA. I received a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in teaching. I taught elementary-age children and peer teachers for 15 years. In 1996, my husband and I moved to the Asheville, North Carolina area to raise our then young son.
After retiring early from teaching in 2000, I took basic and advanced wire wrapping classes from a local artist. I quickly took my art in a completely different direction with metalsmithing classes at “A Jewelers Way” in Clyde, NC (now known as Studio 3 in Canton, NC) and at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC, as well as precious metal clay (“PMC”) classes at Chevron Beads in Asheville, NC. I was Rio (Grande) certified in PMC at Two Gather Beads in Anderson, SC and completed the PMC Connection Level 2 Certification at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Level 3 certification at William Holland Lapidary School in Young Harris, Georgia. I have also taken several classes in chain maille, wire weaving and metalsmithing at William Holland.
Locally, I teach classes in wire wrapping pendants, bracelets and rings at various jewelry studios and local community colleges. For the past several years, I have also been working with wire weaving, and chain maille, some precious metal clay and has combined these methods, making each piece unique.
All of my pendants, brooches, bracelets and necklaces are one of a kind. I enjoy the challenge of turning your keepsake pieces into a fabulous piece of jewelry.
Working from my home studio, I am able to spend time finding the best gemstones from the world’s top suppliers, offer unbeatable customer service and spend less time worrying about overhead costs. Because Jewelry By Nadine is a smaller company than major retail chains, I have the freedom to select only the most unique gemstones and stay current on the cutting edge of the jewelry design industry. I do not use any gemstone, nor precious metal that is of a lower quality. I believes that every woman deserves to look her best!
Shows & Emporiums
I have, in recent years, limited my shows to a few local outdoor and indoor ones, as well as exhibiting my beautiful wearable art jewelry at the Kress Emporium, Linden Boutique, and the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, Vessel in Hendersonville, as well as The Jewelers’ Workbench in Waynesville, North Carolina. A sampling of my jewelry is also available on my Etsy shop.
Some real life shots…
Because we all have one 🙂
These earrings are so lovely and elegant! Even prettier in person than the photos. My housemate loved them so much she wants a pair of her own! Arrived so fast as well, I’m very impressed with every aspect of shopping with Nadine.
